Trippo

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Trippo collects, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: April 23, 2026

1. Information We Collect

Trippo collects only the data needed to deliver core app features. The data described below is used for app functionality and is not linked to your identity for tracking or advertising purposes.

  • Photos and videos — photos you select from your photo library or capture with your device camera, used to generate AI-powered travel commentary. These are processed solely to provide the feature you request.
  • Location — your device's precise and approximate location when you grant location permission while the app is in use, used to provide location-aware travel commentary. Location is not collected in the background and is not stored beyond the active session.
  • Authentication — sign-in credentials managed by Apple (Sign in with Apple) or Google (Google Sign-In) when you create or access your account. This data is handled according to those platforms' own privacy policies and is used solely to establish your session in Trippo.

2. How We Use Information

We use data only as needed to operate Trippo's core features. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the following.

  • Authenticate your session via Apple or Google sign-in.
  • Generate AI travel commentary from photos and location context you provide.
  • Store and organize your history and collections within the app.
  • Verify paid feature access and enforce usage limits.

3. When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers and partners that help us operate the app or when required by law.

  • Infrastructure providers such as Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and serverless functions.
  • AI model providers that process submitted prompts, images, and related context so Trippo can generate responses.
  • Platform providers such as Apple and Google for sign-in authentication and store compliance.
  • Authorities, regulators, or other parties when disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the service.

4. Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Trippo, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service.

If you delete your account or content, we will aim to delete or de-identify the related personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep limited records for legal, security, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons.

5. Your Choices

You can control some privacy choices directly in the app or on your device.

  • You can grant or revoke photo, camera, and location permissions at any time through your device settings.
  • You can edit profile details and remove content you no longer want to keep.
  • You can sign out at any time. To permanently delete your account and associated personal data, use the account deletion option in the app settings. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
  • You can manage sign-in, purchase, and permission settings through your device, Google account, Apple account, or app store settings.
  • You can view your paid pass purchase history through your App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) account settings.

6. International Processing

Trippo and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data protection laws. By using the app, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations as needed to operate the service.

7. Children

Trippo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us through the developer contact method shown in the app store listing so we can review and address the issue.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, but no system is completely secure. You should also protect your own devices, accounts, and backups.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version becomes effective when posted at this URL. Your continued use of Trippo after the update means the revised policy applies going forward.

10. Contact

For privacy questions, data access requests, or data deletion inquiries, contact us through the developer contact listed on our App Store or Google Play page. You may also use the in-app account deletion feature to remove your account and associated data directly.
